Why do kids love labels?
It’s a sensory thing! Babies and toddlers are naturally drawn to tags because they offer a texture that feels comforting and familiar.
Our Minis are designed to encourage self-soothing with real, tactile tags — no decorative tags, just the labels little hands instinctively love.
Original vs. silk labels
The original Lay Lay labels are the classic woven ones, a little more textured with a gentle rougher finish many babies love to fiddle with. Silk labels are smoother and glide between little fingers, for babies who prefer a softer feel.
Materials
100% cotton print on one side, soft minky dot polyester on the other. Polyester labels, smooth and durable, chosen for the varied textures little hands look for.
Certifications and testing
OEKO-TEX® is an independent certification for textiles. Our labels are OEKO-TEX® certified, so they've been tested by an independent lab for substances that can be harmful to health.
REACH is the European Union's chemical safety regulation. The ink printed on our labels is tested for REACH compliance.
CPC stands for Children's Product Certificate. It's required in the US for products made for children 12 and under, and confirms a product has been tested by a lab accepted by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and meets US safety rules for children's products.
AS/NZS ISO 8124 is the Australian and New Zealand safety standard for toys. Our blankets and labels passed testing to this standard at an independent accredited lab.
Washing and care
Machine washable and built for real life. Wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild, baby-safe detergent. No bleach, no tumble drying.

It started with my granny
My granny was a tailor. She would stitch her leftover fabric scraps together with real clothing labels, just because she saw how much the children loved playing with them. Those little handmade things became comfort objects we held onto long after we outgrew everything else.

Will the tags fray or loosen after washing?
No. Every tag is securely stitched and tested to withstand daily tugging, teething, and machine washes.
For extra care, we recommend washing your blanket in a delicates bag and air drying.
Is it safe for newborns?
Yes. The Minis are designed to be safe for newborns when used under adult supervision. They’re made with gentle materials, securely stitched, and free from loose parts.
They’re also commonly used during teething, offering a familiar, soothing item for little ones to hold and mouth safely.
Can toddlers use it too?
Yes. The Minis are suitable for all ages — from newborns through to toddlers and beyond.

Omg my baby girl loves her mini!! She's 7 months old & had two toys in her hand when I showed her the mini, well didn't them toys go flying and she grabbed the mini and hasn't let go of it since! It gives her so much comfort & loves playing with the label. Thank you for creating this :)

I tried everything for my baby - all different stuffies, sensory toys, and other baby “tag” products. She didn’t care for any of them. She just wanted to play with the silky tags on the outside of her sleep sacks. I thought she would just never take to any other comfort object. I was wrong! She just needed Lay Lays (that’s what we call them in our house). She now needs little to no rocking to sleep and can hang out in her crib in the morning or after naps for a bit without immediately crying to be rescued. I realize this won’t be the same for every baby, but it was seriously an absolute miracle. I immediately bought a 3-pack! Now she will gather all of them in her crib and rub them on her face, stack them, play with them..it’s hilarious. I love these things. So glad we found them.

We love our minis! I put one in bed with my little guy and he rubs and chews it until he goes to sleep! It’s fantastic for self soothing! The chewing is actually why we had to put in another order. His bed one was staying constantly damp and we need more so he can have a fresh one every day between wash days. Haha! And so I can put one or two in the diaper bag for times he needs soothing when we are out and about. We really can’t get enough!

my son loves these security blankets - we noticed he loves playing with the tags attached to his toys and sleep sacks as a comfort measure so when these popped up, we knew we have to get them, he has been able to comfort himself on his own while holding these and it has made our nap times so much easier

This is one of the best things you can invest in for your little one. It is the thing our grandson looks for when he is tired and ready for his nap. It is lovely and soft easy to keep clean and we go nowhere without them.

My little one loves tags - I didn’t even know this was a thing. These keep her occupied and help keep her from sticking random tags in her mouth. They’re portable, good for the vet, and can go in the wash when they’ve spent too much time on the floor.
The only recommendation I have (and you might already do this) is to vary the length and size of the tags.

I absolutely love the idea! My babies weren't to receptive of them. They are always chewing on the tags of blankets and pillow cases. In my opinion they maybe a little too soft for them.
